Peace-of-mind goes high-tech. The HS-700 HomeSitter is a multi-functional home monitoring system. It will sound an audible alarm and call up to three telephone numbers to protect your home from damage caused by frozen pipes, water leaks or power failures. It will also notify if there is a temperature loss (below 45°F/7° C) or a temperature rise (above 85°F/34°C), which can prevent frozen/burst pipes due to furnace failure or prevent mildew and humidity due to air conditioning failure. The unit also comes with a water sensor that can be placed in the basement, near a water heater, by the kitchen sink, washing machine, or even inside the lip of a sump pump to prevent water damage from leaks. Since power outages can affect many electronic devices and appliances, HomeSitter will even call you if there has been a power outage at the home that has lasted more than 15 minutes or 1 hour (selectable). HomeSitter requires telephone service, including standard landlines, cable, VOIP and DSL phone service, in order to operate.
